photos from our fun weekend

fantastic weekend

Since my arrival to the moody English weather I have finally experienced a good summers weekend. There was also the added bonus of the location and the good company.
Our weekend began with a fun Friday night drive down to Studland near Swanage. I think Tim won most of the car games. Saturday morning we awoke to find mountain bikes which Steve and Heather had organised for our exciting day out. Our first venture was straight to the beach for breakfast, bacon butties ( in Australian terms bacon bread roll). This was an excellent start to the day, as the day involved adventurous riding up and day the rocky paths of their coastal area. Of course we made a pub stop for an energy boost. The night continued with a well earned BBQ feast, followed by an evening game of boule on the beach.
Our weekend did not end there however, Sunday continued into a relaxing sail around the bay. I think our only problem that did arise was when Steve and Dale tried to row back to shore. I was happy to swim out and rescue them. It was a good excuse to go for a swim.
Sadly we had to say au revoir to Heather and Steve and begin our journey home. As always Dale had set us a different route home. With Tim navigating we set off for Stonehenge followed by Woodhenge, a few white horses, couple of standing stones and at last a dinner break at Burger King, Yes, sorry mum no salad or vegetables were sold.
A fantastic weekend was had by all!! I would like to thank again Heather and Steve for allowing us to stay and also showing us a great time. Tim, Dale and myself spent part of our trip home planning our returned trip back.

recent art work

hello all

I thought it was about time I set up a blog account. Hopefully I will fill it with exciting events and photos. As I mention exciting events, I am currently recovering from a fall off my loaned horse Mylee. We were attempting a jump when he went one way and I went flying the other. I feel like I’ve been beaten up. However happy to say I jumped straight back on and jumped again. It wasn’t the best looking jump, I’m just happy I managed to stay on.
I think its time for lunch; my pains have turned to hunger.
All the best
