Business class life is the way to go!!

I really don’t know how we will handle travelling in economy after our flight back to Birmingham. Thanks to Mum and Dad, Dale and myself travelled back to England in Business class. What another life. From the all inclusive pick up, to the business class waiting lounge which included all you can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner meals, plus any drink or cocktail. As we weren’t sure if would enter into the business class world again, we thought we’d better make the most of these service’s. Since we had to be at the airport at 6am we sat back drinking Moet - Chandon champagne in the business class lounge while waiting for our flight, of course we made sure we had food in front of us just in case people thought we were alcoholics. Aboard the plane we were like kids with new toys playing with our electronic reclining chairs and digital screens. Again why say no to on board welcome champagne drinks before take off. Once in the air we were handed with two menus, one which were our drinks list, the other a selection of meals which we could choose for our five course meal. Lets just say every meal was served as if we were eating in a five star restaurant, check out the picture included which was our starter meal. Life on board was great.
Our flight back made a good finish to our brilliant holiday, visiting Australia, New Zealand and Dubai. Of course seeing Mum, Dad , Drew and friends were the best part of our trip.

I miss you all already !

my hip did not like the camel ride!!!!!!!

Dubai stopover

We had a fantastic two day stopover in Dubai; 45-50c during the day made it slightly hard at times. Our highlight was an exciting four wheel drive safari into the desert followed by a camel ride before finishing with an Arabic meal under the desert stars. The entertainment for the night was an energetic belly dancer along with carpet smoking and henna tattoos. I now have my name in Arabic written on the inside of my arm. Dale says it looks more like lulu!

Relaxing before our flight to Dubai

Blue skies and Kangaroos, things I will miss

Thank you Mum and Dad

It’s been great to be home. Thanks Dad for Dale’s fun days out in the Z, he said he had a good time. Mum, I always enjoy our days out there’re the best. We both cannot thankyou enough for all you give. Miss you already. We look forward to our return at Christmas. Dad did I mention that Dale thinks you decorate the house similar to the Christmas vacation house. I hope you don’t disappoint his expectations. ;)

A night with the girls

A good night was had, chatting, eating, and playing games at Ann’s baby shower. I will miss the girls. I am already counting the days for my return to Australia in December.
Happy to say my hip is on the mend, however is still extremely painful if I move to fast. I have found it hard to keep still.
Let’s hope we have a good flight back to England. Luckily we have a stop over in Dubai for a few days braking up the trip. Plus it will be our one your wedding anniversary, the year has gone quick. It has been a good one Dale !!! I look forward to many more.

Trying to look happy in Hospital

Waiting for the verdict on my hip.

Are my horse riding days over??

I have always wanted to ride along the beach, I can now say I have. One problem, I ended up in hospital due to an unfortunate incident. I currently have a wonky left hip and the pain just won't go away. Will I or should I get back on Mylee (my horse) when I get back to England? My bones and body don't seem to heal as fast as it use too. One bonus I did manage to get a few good photos of the sand dunes before the unfortunate event.

Another great weekend

Tasting the wines of the hunter valley with Pete and Leanne. Things I will miss when we are back in the UK.

Back in Aussie land

Rainforest walk before our flight back to Aus

Dale's shell sculpture

It's good to see Dale's creative side.

New Zealand beach

A quick visit to New Zealand

We had a fantastic time visiting Drew and Sarah. Drew had us climbing trees, four wheel driving around Waiheke island, tasting their local wine, walks through their local rainforest and beaches. I can see why he has settled in nicely. Thanks Drew and Sarah for three great action packed days.
